Special Shout Out to Mandy, Lilly's best friend. Thanks for coming over on Saturday. Bryan and I had a great time and were able to relax knowing that Lilly was in good hands and having a great time!
My name is Lindsay and I am a stay at home mom and consultant for 31. My husband, Bryan, is the new Mortgage Sales Manager for Centier Bank. We have a five year old daughter, Lilly, a two and a half year old little boy, Jack, and an eight year old mix breed dog, Hank. The Peanut, Jack and the Doodle. Life here is a normal, average existance. But, it seems far from ordinary to us! I hope this blog will show just how fun and crazy it can be. This is our life, our own brief history of time.

Our State Fair...
This year he seemed to like it more than ever. I think this reaction was in direct correlation to Lilly being old enough to start enjoying the fair. By the time Bryan got home from work I had Lilly so pumped about the fair that only a daddy with a heart of stone wouldn't be excited too and he was eager to do everything the fair could offer a two year old.
Lilly rode a pony. Well, it was more of a miniature donkey, but she was just as happy as if it were a thoroughbred.
Here is Lilly doing the 'plowing' part. You are supposed to peddle the tractor around the track, but Lilly opted to be pushed around the track on the tractor.

The North Woods 2010
Among the nothing we did so many fun things that I can't even include all of them in this blog. But, I will say that Lilly enjoyed herself more than I ever could have imagined and Bryan and I were both heartbroken on the last day when she woke up excited, ate her breakfast and cheerfully asked to go to the playground. Later that night when we got home she cried after her bath and said "I'm a go back to my cabin".
Lilly on our first full day at the cabin. She is wearing her 'Lil Fishin' Chick' T-shirt and playing her new fishing game. She was surprisingly good at it. I was worried it was too old for her, but she proved me wrong. Notice the tongue hanging out to indicate the amount of concentration.
This is a terrible picture from one of our evening trolling missions (they were all unsuccessful), but it is the only photographic proof that I was even in Wisconsin.
We didn't catch a lot of fish, not nearly as many as last year. All year we kept saying "we don't need to clean 300 crappie" "we don't need to bring so much fish home"...little did we know it wasn't our choice. This year we only caught enough to have a single fish fry. See, we caught so few fish that Dad was even excited about catching the world's smallest bluegill. Don't worry PETA, we threw him back.
While taking a cruise to a connected lake Lilly wormed her way onto Wes's lap and then wasted no time in taking over the wheel.
After losing interest in driving the boat Lilly took in the afternoon sun with Tiki.
Lilly is a budding fashionista, however, some times she seems to struggle with accessorizing. For example, I never would have thought to pair a light blue tu tu with bear claw slippers. But, it seems to work on her.
Fishing with Daddy. They tried almost every day to catch a fish off the dock with Lilly's little Tinkerbell fishing pole, but they were unsuccessful. I tried to convince Wes to swim under the dock and attach a fish to her hook, but no luck.
This picture is dark and I don't if you will be able to see it or not, but as we pulled out for a nightly trolling cruise Lilly sat on Papaw's lap waving good bye. But, as we pulled away she needed her binoculars to see us leave the cove.
I couldn't resist including this picture. Lilly asleep in her little bed. So sweet. Bryan, Lilly and I shared a small room with two sets of bunk beds. After much debate we decided that I would sleep on one of the lower bunks, and Lilly would sleep on the other with her toddler rails attached. We finally decided it would be best if Bryan slept on the top of my bunk...also with toddler rails.
Oh yeah, it wouldn't be the Wisconsin trip blog if I didn't at least mention the mustaches. I don't have a picture of all three of them, but for the second year in a row Bryan, Wes and Dad have grown mustaches while on our trip. The comparing of, grooming, discussion of and giggling about the mustaches takes up quite a bit lot of time.

Fourth of July, Finally
Matthew and Morgan kept her pretty busy...well...SHE kept them pretty busy. I enjoyed this probably more than anyone. It was great to have personal playmates, dressers and hair stylists for Lilly on hand all weekend.
While at home we just kind of hung out; playing, talking and just spending time together. We cooked out, played a million games of ladder golf (which Morgan is awesome at by the way) and set off fireworks (which Morgan is not so awesome at...I'll leave it at that).
But, Lilly was anxious to show her Aunt Cammie and cousins some of her favorite places. So we took them to Mulberry Fields park and played in the 'creek' and on the slides.
We also spent a day at the pool. Well, most of us spent the whole day at the pool. While the ladies were basking in the sun Bryan decided to introduce his fellow Colts fan to Lucas Oil Stadium and have Colts experience Matthew wouldn't forget. I will spare you the pictures from the Stadium...they are pretty boring. But, I think Matthew's experience that day was anything but. Along with downtown, the stadium and as much Colts atmosphere as he could stand Bryan also introduced his 15 year old nephew to something else he won't soon forget.
After dinner we walked out to the lake to feed the fish and Matthew tried his hand at catching cat fish with a net. Matthew is good at a lot of things. This wasn't one of them.
On the Fourth of July we all loaded up and headed down to Lion's Club Park to watch the fireworks. Before dark there were a lot activities for kids. Lilly was kind of small for most of them, but her big cousin was more than happy to take her down the giant slide...as many times as she wanted to go. I thought she might be a little afraid, but I was wrong. This picture was taken about 30 seconds after her first trip down the slide. She is yelling "AGAIN". And Matthew obliged.
Matthew was a trooper, climbing up the giant slide while holding a toddler and taking Lilly down as many times as she wanted. But, Morgan gets some credit too. While Lilly and Matthew slid she stood next to Bryan the whole time while cute boys and other girls her age may or may not have noticed his goofy hat.
And then....everyone went home and the party was over. Poor Lilly, she was so disappointed.

Relay for Life
FYI-I have luminarie bags to sell for next year's event. They are $10 each and all of the money goes to the American Cancer Society. Let me know if you'd like to personalize the bag yourself.

Lilly and the Kickboard
I know its been awhile since my last blog. I have no excuse, other than a lack of pictures. So, I thought I'd treat you to a couple of videos, complete with audio. Sweet little voice (well not so sweet in the second video).
These videos are both from Sunday. We spent a lazy day at my parents' house; just swimming, playing cornhole and later cooking on the grill in the gale force winds, torrential rain and some lightening.
This first video is of Lilly trying out her new floatie/bathing suit/I can grab you if you fall in the lake thingy. She wasn't sure about it at first, but she seemed to get the hang of it after few minutes. Please note: I zoomed in so you could see Lilly kicking and swimming on her own. However, I zoomed in so far that it appears as if Lilly is in the pool alone. She is not. Bryan is to the right, just out of the frame and those are Wes's legs you see in front of her. You actually get a pretty good view of him when Lilly gets a little cocky and eventually starts to panic. Listen carefully and you can hear Bryan talking about how independent she is going to be at the same moment that Wes has to intervene. Ha ha
This video is just more of the same. With one little addition. As Lilly swam Wes and Bryan hovered in the pool, Mom and Kristy shouted encouragements from the edge and I videotaped...Dad napped. Lilly clearly did not approve. Turn your sound up and you can hear what happens when that sweet little voice turns sour.

The Pool is Open!
It was a perfect day for it and we did nothing but float around in the pool. I guess not all of us floated...with his broken arm and splint almost to his shoulder, Bryan mostly just watched in bitterness from the shade while the rest of us floated.
And, Lilly was a little more active. She played in her little pool...
